Doing layouts for texts in Asian languages requires specific skills and equipment.
The main challenge is to ensure that the Asian layout has the same visual impact on the reader as the original document. Moreover, any printer should be able to print the document.

Several years ago, AMA asian translation & graphics Ltd. developed a graphic workflow to process these reputedly complicated languages.

Types of layout
There are two types of composition in Asian languages:
"Traditional" : Written from top to bottom and from right to left. Inverted page order.
"Modern" : Identical to Western layout.

Most Western publications to be translated into Japanese or Chinese are given a "modern" layout.
A "traditional" layout may be considered for an anthology of poems or an art book.
